Buy Limited Edition Kitten Art for a Good Cause
Audrey and Clare (formerly known as Cookie and Nermal) are now artists. The painting above is art done by my former foster kittens. As you can see they are quite good at expressing themselves. Their owner artist describes the kitten’s creative process as follows:
They had a lot of fun with the painting – all non-toxic, kid-friendly materials, and they didn’t mind the post-painting wipe-down one bit. We dipped things like shoelaces and crumpled paper into the diluted paint and held them over the paper for the cats to bat at, creating some interesting abstract expressionism. Action painting at its best!
As mentioned earlier on the blog the kittens have a canine friend who needs surgery and the kittens have taken up painting as a way of helping to pay for the surgery. One of these beautiful kitten masterpieces costs only $15 Canadian. For the price of lunch you can have some beautiful kitten artwork to display by some beautiful kittens. You can buy the kitten artwork here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/maury-s-macular-spectacular
In case you are wondering what the kittens creative process looks like I wanted to include some photos of the kittens hard at work.
And as you can see the kittens turn not just the paperwork into a masterpiece but the bathtub as well.
Nermal Being Adorable
Here is another shot from Cookie and Nermal’s portrait session. Nermal is a very photogenic kitten and she always loved to pose for pictures. Here she is posing again for the camera.
Cookie and Nermal the Kittens Need Your Help
I stumbled upon this, this morning and I thought I would mention it on the blog. My former foster kittens Audrey aka Cookie and Clare aka Nermal have a canine friend in their new home named Maury who requires $5000 worth of surgery. As you can see the kittens and the dog are the best of friends and it would be a shame to see anything happen to their new friend. The owner of Maury is is doing a crowdsourcing campaign to raise funds for Maury’s surgery.
For a mere $15 you can get an original Kitten composition. I don’t know what exactly the two kittens are capable of putting together for $15 but for $15 it’s worth the investment to see.

Cleo and the Cat Tree
Several weeks ago I was given a cat tree to help entertain the cats. When I first got it Cleo wanted nothing to do with it. When it first arrived she gave it the sniffs it deserved and than went on with her life. At the time I had the two kittens Cookie and Nermal and they loved it. The cat tree is divided into three different levels. Cookie being the little diva she was always took the top tier and Nermal got the middle tier. Cookie loved to take swipes at Nermal from her position.
The kittens seemed to have an agreement that Nermal would not take the top tier. The odd time Nermal did usually resulted in Cookie climbing the tree to kick her off. I used the cat tree to take both the kittens adoption portraits. The reason I am writing this is because Cleo has recently decided she likes the cat tree. The middle tier is her favorite place to be.
I include a photograph of her on the tree. Just when you think you know your foster cat they always do something to surprise you.
Kittens Cookie and Nermal Adopted
I am thrilled to announce that kittens Cookie and Nermal have been adopted together. Totally thrilled that these two will get to live together. On one day they had two approved adoptors so Saturday was a good day for them. While it was possible to split them up the fact they had bonded so well meant they were going to be adopted as a pair. So thrilled they are not being split up.
I found out too that their new forever home comes with a dog. I really feel sorry for the dog. I am sure Cookie will learn how to dominate the dog and will establish herself as queen. I hope when they grow up Nermal stays larger then Cookie so she can keep her ego in check.
On Friday I paid them a visit which as it turns out will be my last time with them. I took this picture of them playing in the backroom of a pet store. You maybe can’t tell it from the photos but they are both getting a lot bigger. At the time I needed a cat toy so I improvised and used the strap from my camera bag.
Lots of love and luck to my two former foster kittens.
